People, there is so much great music and so many great bands out there...you just gotta go out and check it out. Don't go out expecting to find (insert your fave famous band here) on the cheap, in fact do not reserve any expectations about what you're going to find. Go expecting a complete adventure...something new and off the beaten path. Discover new music, meet new people based solely upon sharing music as the commonality. Don't be shy...stand at the front of the stage....talk to that crazy fucker with tats and piercings that you wouldn't normally talk to....he is probably a pretty fun interesting dude. Let yourself be drawn in to the scene and see where it takes you; without expectations, without preconceived notions.

The local metal scene is a thriving culture in itself...one that spans every walk of life. Discover new bands and be just as big a fan as the ones you''ll pay ungodly amounts of money to support. Why not? Because your friends think local bands are crap? Because its not mainstream? Fuck that...be the one sharing this amazing music with others. Not to make anyone famous, but because its good music.
